RYAN SLY

LEAD VOCALS

Ryan has been singing for as long as he can remember. When he began singing he was primarily influenced by Axle Rose from Guns and Roses. As he progressed vocally he began focusing on his writing style which he found through his influences of Jim Morrison (The Doors) and Aaron Lewis (Staind). Throughout the years Ryan ventured out and started focusing on the vocal styles of James Hetfield (Metallica), and Maynard James Keenan (Tool). He found different ways to accent vocals with adding the deep growling sounds in his original songs.  Ryan spent time singing in a handful of cover bands before joining two original bands including the most recent, White Eyed Pistol Waivers, in 2010. While singing for the original projects, he experimented with the sound of grunge vocals as influenced by Layne Staley of Alice in Chains. Ryan spent a few years in both of these bands before moving on. After a long addiction, Ryan started relying on his faith in Jesus Christ and writing lyrics based on life's experiences. Ryan started following bands such as Creed, Red, Skillet, and Brian Head Welch. Ryan says "I relied on faith and began writing in a way that can reach people in a solo project before finding my brothers in Mortal End."

JEFF FREEMAN

BASS GUITAR

Jeff started playing guitar when he was in junior high, but never took it seriously until high school. In high school he played in a garage band, playing rock like Def Leppard, Motley Crue, and Scorpions, but his guitar playing just couldn't keep up, especially when the band started playing more hard core metal like Metallica, Megadeth, etc. A friend of his convinced him to try playing bass, which he reluctantly did, Jeff says, "I took one for the band." After listening to John Paul Jones and Cliff Burton play bass, he was hooked. From there he played in a couple of thrash and speed metal bands and some classic rock bands but nothing really took off. After a long break away from music Jeff eventually started playing bass again with the church worship team and loved it. He's looking to rejuvenate his love of music with Mortal End.

MARK BELLILE

GUITARS

At a young age, just entering middle school, Mark took a required music class and subsequently forced to learn basic acoustic guitar. He hated it! Set the guitar down as soon as was allowed and thought, "I'm never going to play this instrument." A short three years later, "80's" metal took hold of him and his older sister's totally cool boyfriend taught him a few power chords and scales - Mark was hooked. He and two friends started a high school power trio playing Dokken, Ratt, Judas Priest and Iron Maiden covers, even throwing in a few originals. Graduation, and all the changes that came with it hit them like a brick, and Mark was suddenly left alone without a band. A successful audition with a Minneapolis band compelled a move to the town and Mark collaborated with his new bandmates in an all original thrash band that had mild success. Mark hung it up, started a family and fell into his career. All these years later, Mark says, "It feels so good to dust off the chops and fire this back up, my true love resurfacing again." Mark is excited to be in Mortal End. He's having the time of his life Collaborating once again with fellow bandmates writing heavy metal music that sends out a positive message and proclaims the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
